OSSM Students Complete Program

Six Alva area high school students completed the Oklahoma School of Science and Math (OSSM) program at the Regional Site located at Northwest Technology Center in Alva. Students took a curriculum which included college level physics and calculus and completed the advanced placement examination in those areas. Highfill received the award for the outstanding grade in Physics and Wallis received the award for the outstanding grade in Calculus. Starkey was recognized as the “Most Improved” student.

Eleven Fairview area students completed the inaugural program at the Fairview site
of the Oklahoma School of Science and Math, located at Northwest Technology
Center on Wednesday night. During this school year, these students
completed a curriculum which included college level physics and calculus and
also took the advanced placement examination for those subjects. Pictured
